Call for Volunteers!

Come join the fun and spend the day engrossed in the excitement of the Westside Cycling Classic, where riders from around the Pacific Northwest race on the scenic roads surrounding Pacific Spirit Park!

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to take on the role of Course Ambassadors.  As a Course Ambassador, you will be tasked with informing spectators and residents alike of all the ins and outs of the event throughout the day.  For your participation, you will be given a souvenir shirt, lunch, and an opportunity to win great draw prizes! All volunteers will have a chance to win a Cruiser Bike from The Bike Gallery, valued at $550.

Various positions and shifts available i.e. Lunch tent, Registration, Route Marshalls, set-up/take down. Contract Position Available with Canuck Place

Community Partnerships Position

This is a contract position providing assistance to the Canuck Place Community Partnerships team from June 2009 to December 2009.

The role of this position will be to assist with our 3 signature fundraising events both pre and post event:

Innovative Fitness Canuck Place Adventure Challenge
Gift of Time Gala
CHUM Day of Giving Radiothon

Duties will be varied and based on the demands of the event.

Candidate attributes:
- Motivated to ensure events are produced at a very high level
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task
- Resourceful problem solver
- Pro-active and quick learner
- Flexible with time availability
- Professional
- Proficient with Excel, Word and event management software

Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Data entry
- Phone calls
- Office Administrative details
- Donor / Guest follow-up
- Event logistic support
- Event setup
- On-site event support
