Weekend to End Breast Cancer
Here is your chance to be part of a company that’s making a difference in the fight against Breast Cancer. As our Participant Services Associate or “Coach”,you’ll be the most vital member of our organization. If you are passionate about this cause and the work you do, this is the position for you.
Purpose of this Position:
The Participant Services Coach works directly with people interested in
becoming involved with this event; helping them to register for the
event, and giving them the support they need throughout their journey to be successful in raising funds and awareness in the fight against
breast cancer.
Essential Functions:
- Recruiting participants for the event by following up with all interested parties on a regular basis.
- Provide day to day support for all participants, including help with their online fundraising tools, brainstorming fundraising ideas,providing important information about fundraising and the event, and
- inspiring them to go furtherBuild relationships with all participants via phone and email communication
- Lead public information sessions, speaking to groups of interested people and registered participants.
Requirements:
- Phone sales experience in a fast-paced, customer service environment
- Extensive customer care experience
- Ability to use basic MS Office applications, as well as internet applications
- Ability to multi-task and time manage
- Ability to work within a small team, but be self-motivated to meet performance objectives.Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Experience in public presentations recommended
- Ability to work different shifts and weekends is a necessity.

Events :
- The 2nd Annual Wake Up Canada! Golf Tournament – Sep 6, 2006, Westwood Plateau
Positions:
- Registration (e.g. meet and greet, prize, reception and administration)
- Special Events (e.g. hosting / event duties both on and off site, set-up, strike)
- Auction Assistance (e.g. spreadsheets, bid sheets, live auction,
finance, raffle sales) on course activities (e.g. games, bag valet,
photo shoots, event day fun)
Shift Times :
- Times vary, but they are generally 4 to 8 hours in the morning and afternoon.

Event: Tour De Valley Cops for Cancer
Dates: Wed Feb 15 2006 - Fri Oct 6 2006
Days & times: The main event is September 21 - September 30, 2006, but as early as March through to the end of the year, there are many small weekend community fundraising events that happen in many of the communities throughout the Fraser valley.

What is Cops For Cancer? The Canadian Cancer Society's Cops for Cancer is a partnership between the Canadian Cancer Society and police officers, RCMP and local military police from across British Columbia. Each Fall, Canadian law enforcement personnel cycle a pre-designated route in their region, raising funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research and programs that support kids with cancer, such as Camp Goodtimes. Cops for Cancer began in Edmonton in 1994 and has grown to include many other Canadian cities and areas. In British Columbia, there are four Cops for Cancer Tours, including Vancouver Island, Greater Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, and in the North. Fraser Valley.
